Eligibility

  • If you are a citizen of Maldives or a non-citizen resident over the age of 18 years holding a valid work permit and a letter from the employer confirming your employment, you are eligible to open a Savings Account.
  • All you need is to make a minimum deposit of MVR 500 or USD 50.

Opening an Account

  • This account could be as an individual account in your name or even as a joint account with one or more parties. Whatever the type of account you choose, you will also receive an ATM card.
  • Please remember to take your identity document or passport with valid work permit (only for non citizen residents). This is important for us to identify you and ensure your account’s security.
  • Apart from cash deposits, you can also deposit cheques, drafts which are drawn in favour of your name or the Bank.
  • Fast, convenient and 24 x 7 unlimited access points to your account from anywhere in the world through Online Banking & Mobile Banking or through our ATMs.

Making Withdrawals

  • You can make withdrawals from ATM card or over the Bank counter.
  • Please produce your identity document with the duly completed withdrawal form, when making over the counter withdrawals.
