Commercial Bank of Maldives made a donation of dustbins to the NGO ‘Save the Beach Maldives’

Commercial Bank of Maldives cleaned Villingili beach in association with the NGO ‘Save the beach Maldives’ and also donated dustbins to ‘Save the Beach Maldives’ for the benefit of the community in Villingili and contribute in preserving the environment in the long run.

Save the Beach is an NGO started in 2008 as a young movement in Villingili to save the beaches in Villingili. Their principal role is facilitating cleaning events, planting trees in and around Villingili, and taking part in community activities. They have enlivened many cleaning events across Maldives. They have completed different effective undertakings and projects in to preserve beaches and reefs of Maldives.

Commercial Bank of Maldives supports healthcare sector with donation of equipment

Commercial Bank of Maldives made a donation of essential equipment to Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) of Maldives to support healthcare personnel battling to treat victims and prevent the spread of the Covid- 19 pandemic.

The Bank donated Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kits, N95 protective masks, surgical suits, hand sanitizers, disposable face shields, nitrile gloves, reusable goggles etc. based on identified needs.

As a responsible corporate citizen, CBM greatly values the dedication and heroism of healthcare staff on the frontlines of the battle against COVID-19 and will continue to support the efforts of the government to protect the country in these challenging times.

Commercial Bank of Maldives made a donation to Clean Maldives

CBM donated 500 trees to Housing Development Corporation of Maldives in the event ‘Go Green’ organized by Clean Maldives. Event was held on 26th December 2021 at 4:00pm in Hulhumale’ Phase 2 beach area. In the event CBM staff participated in planting trees

The event was inaugurated by the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Technology Ms. Aminath Shauna. During the event 3000 saplings were planted in Hulhumale’ Phase 2.  

Clean Maldives is an NGO who aims to bring positive change in the society and the environment of the Maldives with a mission  of educating and spreading awareness  about the values and importance of environment, environmental issues and its adverse impact on our lives and empower people to contribute  towards a sustainable green and clean environment.
